This month’s ArtWanted! feature once again takes us to the wonderful world of architectural visualization. Meet Thiago Pimenta and Andrey Rodrigues, co-founders and project directors at RP Studio, an up-and-coming full service archviz production company based in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Together, the young entrepreneurs recently aced one of Ander Alencar’s Rendermind challenges with their ‘Edificio VK’, a visionary residential complex, put on impressive display through a short film and a series of images.
Continue reading to learn how Andrey and Thiago went from starting their own company in their dorm rooms to establishing and managing a professional studio.
3D Artist of the Month June 2021: Amanda Kędzierska
Tuesday, June 1st, 2021 by Julian Karsunky
Rules and creativity are fickle companions: there is a fine line between helpful guidelines and crippling restrictions, as Amanda Kędzierska, our June 2021 3D Artist of the Month, can attest to. When the work on her master thesis left her feeling too limited in her creativity, she decided to completely rework the project after graduating. No longer bound by the confines of academic demands, she unleashed her full artistic potential. Encouraged by the positive feedback, Amanda committed to her newfound passion, and is now pursuing a career as a professional archviz artist.
In our interview, Amanda discusses the emotional impact of colors, wabi-sabi and the joys of subtle aesthetic disruptions.
Art Wanted! Featuring Sergey Buravtsov
Friday, May 14th, 2021 by Julian Karsunky
This month’s ArtWanted! feature sees the return of a familiar face: Russian CG artist and all-rounder Sergey Buravtsov is back, and once again he has blessed us with an outstanding character artwork. His portrayal of Cleopatra perpetuates the myths surrounding one of history’s most fascinating, yet elusive figures on a 3D canvas. Every bit as beautiful and deadly as the asp coiled around her neck, the Egyptian ruler has never looked better – eat your heart out, Elizabeth Taylor!
In our interview, we catch up with Sergey and take a closer look at the making of one of his most recent, personal projects.
3D Artist of the Month May 2021: Fadi Alsharif
Monday, May 3rd, 2021 by Julian Karsunky
Whether art imitates life or life imitates art, one thing is for certain: hardly anybody’s home looks as neat and tidy as your usual CG interior. When reworking an image following an archviz job, Fadi Alsharif, our May 2021 3D Artist of the Month, decided to try something different: bending the rules, the Syrian CG artist designed an aesthetic that replicates more realistic living conditions, with a relaxing calmness arising from a carefully composited chaos.
In our interview, Fadi talks about self-teaching, dream jobs, and thinking outside of the box.
Project Phoenix: 50% GPU Price Cut
Wednesday, April 28th, 2021
Project Phoenix was created by RebusFarm to help 3D artists through these rough times. We thought about a way to support our community and came up with a maximum 75% GPU discount to help artists realize new projects and therefore help them to rise again. This very high price cut was pushing our limits, so we were only able to do that for a limited time.
We actually wanted to go back to our regular GPU price now, but we decided to keep up our support for the community and to only go back up to 50% of the old GPU price. So from today, you get a 50% price cut of the old GPU price, that we had before we started our Project Phoenix. That means that our project continues:
PROJECT PHOENIX: 50% GPU PRICE CUT

Encouraged by the feedback of his peers and his own sense of improvement, he now stands determined to kickstart his long-lasting dream of establishing his own studio.
In our interview, Lucas discusses his love for details, plans for the future and the difference between exterior and interior scenes.

Art Wanted! Featuring Davide Tezza
Monday, March 15th, 2021 by Julian Karsunky
Staring at the wall is usually indicative of a creative drought. For Davide Tezza, it’s a never-ending source of inspiration. Where others might stare mindlessly into the void, the Italian architect and 3D artist sees only potentiality. His minimalist designs are the result of a deep understanding of form and composition and deliberate self-restraint, generating meaning out of thin air.
In our interview, Davide talks about the challenges of running a one-man-studio, designing emptiness, and how to avoid the perfectionist trap.
