RebusArt featuring Fardin Shahriary

Here at the Rebus render farm, we rarely decline a nice and relaxing cup of coffee – especially not when it is on the house! So when Fardin Shahriary invited us to his ‘Memento Café’, we are bringing the whole team for our March 2023 RebusArt feature. The young Iranian archviz artist not only perfectly captured the atmosphere of a small coffee shop in beautiful black and white, but added a deeply personal note to the scene.

As a professional service, architectural visualization is the translation of ideas. In highlighting the work of designers and architects, a 3D artist needs to be a skilled craftsman just as much, if not more, than a creative visionary. For this reason, a faithful CG-recreation of a real-life space is both an effective exercise and a showcase of one’s abilities, and we at the Rebus render farm were extremely impressed by the fine folks at iPoly Studio and their digital reconstruction of a Japanese restaurant interior, perfectly capturing the atmosphere and intricate architecture.
In our interview, brothers Seif and Houssem El Ayeb discuss their latest project, the state of the industry in the Maghreb, and their approach as an emerging archviz company.

3D Artist of the Month February 2023: Black Visuals

The language of art is universally understood. But in addition to space, it also transcends time: the work of contemporary architects such as Bruno Mesquita from Black Visuals, our February 2023 3D Artist of the Month, is perpetually engaged in a conversation with the past, reshaping, adapting and building upon designs of days long gone. Having already made a successful career for himself in architecture, the Brazilian entrepreneur recently reignited his passion for 3D and founded his own archviz studio. One of the first projects he completed is a tribute to a brutalist architect whose influence can still be felt in Bruno’s other work, some of which we at the Rebus Render Farm are thrilled to showcase today!

The arrival of the new year brings some change to our ‘ArtWanted’ campaign, though mostly in name: going forward, we aim to highlight the wonderful work of our community under the moniker ‘RebusArt’. Make no mistake though, art is still very much wanted! We hope you continue to submit your images and scenes, so we can share just a tiny amount of the great content that is produced at our render farm every day. Leading by example in January 2023 is Reza Sharifzadeh, who sent us a beautiful and whimsical landscape lined with ‘Mountain Cottages’.
Join us on our journey as venture deep into the woods and explore the undergrowth of the artist’s mind!

3D Artist of the Month January 2023: Sara Viana

Hello 2023! A new year means twelve new ‘3D Artists of the Month’, with us here at the Rebus render farm featuring their submissions and exploring the story behind their work through exclusive interviews. Kicking off the year is archviz artist Sara Viana and her beautiful ‘House in Alentejo’, a countryside villa in the architectural style of the eponymous region in her home country Portugal. Inspired to learn and professionally pursue CGI as a means of creative and emotional expression, Sara is looking to share her designs with the world.
In our interview, Sara talks about career choices, establishing connections through 3D renders, and explains why she thinks of herself as a virtual photographer.

While winter is slowly but surely taking hold of the Northern Hemisphere, Sepehr Mohajerani invites us to his ‘Modern Summer Interior’ to soak up the last rays of sunlight, an offer we at the Rebus render farm are more than happy to accept! From his early college days, when 3D was just a hobby to becoming a full-fledged archviz artist, Sepehr has come a long way – not only in the figurative sense, as he relocated from his home country of Iran to Italy, where he works as freelance interior and exterior designer.

While many people value professional fulfillment more than success, not everybody is fortunate enough to achieve it. Rarely do business and pleasure go hand in hand as much as they do for Ehsan Salehian. Listening to the Iranian architect and 3D artist talk about his work, you can immediately tell he has found his vocation. But it was not passion alone that allowed Ehsan to prevail, but determination and hard work. Today, Ehsan manages two companies, and still makes time for personal projects, such as the neat living room he submitted to our render farm.
In our interview, Ehsan recalls his humble beginnings, talks design philosophy and getting into the proper work “flow”.

One of the greatest things about CGI is being able to enjoy sites from all over the world from the comfort of your desk chair. This sentiment is shared by M. Serhat Sezgin, our October 2022 3D Artist of the Month, who loves acquainting himself with different cultures and audiences from all over the world through his archviz work. An experienced interior and furniture designer, Serhat impressed us with his design of the Kazakh ‘Almati Café’, an opulent structure housing a lushly decorated interior.
In our interview, Serhat talks about artistic adaptability, historical inspirations, and gives insight into his design process.

The South American CG industry has been making waves for quite some time now, consistently producing top talent artists and work of the highest quality. Brazil, in particular, has established itself as home to a tight-knit community, and we are more than happy to once again shine the light on one of its more recent members: Arthur Sthefano Cavalcanti e Souza, our August 2022 3D Artist of the Month. A year ago, Arthur founded his own company Arca 3D Creative Studio with a friend, and together, they have been on a mission to shape the future, one pixel at a time.
In our interview, Arthur reflects on his personal strength and weaknesses, recounts his professional history, and remembers his human and feline companions along the way.
